These 5 free Chrome extensions are crazy genius

1. Honey

Honey is my secret weapon for saving money online. It appears at checkout and automatically scours the Internet for any available coupon codes. The best code is applied to your cart, so you always save the most money. Honey has saved me on everything from hotels to rollerblades, and I didn’t have to search for anything.

Honey also finds better prices on Amazon (yes, there are better prices––I was surprised, too). With 5-stars on the Chrome store, it’s no wonder this add-on is gaining popularity fast.

2. Grammarly

Say “goodbye” to embarrassing writing mistakes (you won’t miss them), this awesome extension is pretty much guaranteed to help you write g̶o̶o̶d better. Whether crafting an important email for work or a silly Facebook status for friends, Grammarly makes sure you get your thoughts across typo-free and as clearly as possible. The free version is like a 24/7 proofreader, but if you upgrade to premium, Grammarly will even suggest better vocabulary words and check for plagiarism.

3. Momentum

Momentum turns the New Tab Page into your personal dashboard with photographs, inspirational quotes, a to-do widget, weather report and a quick-links widget for your favorite websites. I really appreciate my to-do list presented to me in a cool, organized way every day.

4. Boomerang

Boomerang allows you to schedule messages to be sent or returned at a later date. You can also track messages to make sure you hear back and schedule reminders right inside Gmail. Free users can schedule 10 messages a month. Paid subscribers get unlimited messaging credits and premium features. Still, scheduling those 10 messages is really helpful.

5. Awesome Screenshot App

Awesome Screenshot App is pretty, well, awesome. It’s an easy way to annotate your screenshots or pictures quickly. Whether you want to crop, blur or point at a specific part of your image, this tool is a useful and easy alternative to Photoshop.
